One Longfellow Square as a Non-Profit . . . Just The FAQs:

One Longfellow Square is growing. We have added some new activities to support our transition to an arts and education nonprofit organization (see more details at One Longfellow Square/Press Links). We've had a number of people ask how this will affect our offerings as a concert venue. So here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions:

What's changing?

One Longfellow Square as a concert venue will not change at all! We polled many of you last fall to ask you what you would like changed - and the resounding answer was "Don't change a thing!" So, for our loyal concert-goers, nothing will change.

We will continue to book the same great talent from all corners of the music world. We will continue to sell tickets to everyone and anyone who wants to come at the same affordable prices we have always tried to bring to you. Buy your tickets as usual for over 200 concerts a year in Portland's best listening room- check out our schedule: One Longfellow Square

So . . . what's different?

As a non-profit arts organization, One Longfellow Square is now partnering with other community organizations to offer daytime programming that provides youth development opportunities through the arts. Rather than sitting dark for most of the week, we can now offer our outstanding facilities to groups that share a common goal of offering arts enrichment activities to local school-aged children and youth.

Why now?

We are following a natural evolution like so many other great and established small listening rooms across the country. Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA; The Old Town School of Music in Chicago; The Ark in Ann Arbor, MI; and Club Passim in Boston are all registered nonprofits. We share similar missions to create a connected and vibrant community through creative collaborations and amazing evening performances.

Is Tom still there?

Yes, our Managing Director Tom Rota still books all the shows and oversees the concerts. Tom will still be up there on the stage introducing the performers and tipping you off about a new upcoming band that you should see.

Can I buy tickets now?

Yes! Buy tickets here. One Longfellow Square

Hey this is great! How can I help?

One of the many ways to support us has not changed- Buy tickets to our shows and bring a friend! Let more people know about your wonderful experiences at One Longfellow Square. Follow and friend us on FACEBOOK or join in the conversation at TWITTER . DONATIONS and MEMBERSHIPS support continued live music as well as our youth arts programming so please consider a contribution as well.

Thanks for being a part of the One Longfellow Square Community and we hope to see you at a show.
